Since it costs a lot to set up a fiber network, AT&T’s coverage is centered around cities and towns. (AT&T also has fixed-wireless internet for rural areas.) AT&T fiber has been steadily expanding to more markets.It would make sense for them put fiber in my area. I’m like 100 yards from an airport, like 100 yards from an interstate, and right in the middle of an entertainment district in my area. All those are good reasons for commercial fiber. But don't mean much in terms of whether residential fiber would make sense there.

This would just get the fiber to the front of our house.
